The Moor
Location: Boyne Highlands, MI
Date Played: Sep. 2011
Clubhouse and Staff: Nice clubhouse and huge driving range. The clubhouse and range are shared with Arthur Hills and Donald Ross Memorial, two other courses on location. Our tee time was delayed about 2 hours because of frost, but the staff seemed to do the best they could with the situation.
Course Conditions: The course conditions were above average, but not nearly as nice as The Heather or Arthur Hills. This was the shortest course on the property, and required you to place the ball well and hit it straight.
Overall Experience: We had an excellent experience at this course. I would probably lean to the other courses at Boyne Highlands if you have a choice.: Make sure you have a yardage book or GPS, the course is very difficult without some help. There are several fairways that can be hit through.
Scenery: This course featured large, weeded areas, as well as numerous water hazards and a few peninsula greens. There were not as many elevation changes as some of the other courses at Boyne.
Value: The best way to play his course is to include it in a “stay and play” package. The price to play this course individually is quite expensive.
Overall Experience: We had an excellent experience at this course. I would probably lean to the other courses at Boyne Highlands if you have a choice.
