                                Location:  Iron Mountain, MI

                                Date Played: Sep. 2011

Clubhouse and Staff:  Nice clubhouse and driving range.  The first few holes did have a lot of small bugs, but it cleared out after that.

Course Conditions:  Perfect course conditions.  The greens were a bit slower than normal, but there had been a lot of rain in the area at the time.

Playability:  Timberstone is very playable, but it will punish you for errant shots.  Wide fairways, but a really bad shot will be unplayable because of the heavy wooded areas this course winds through.

Scenery:  Beautiful combination of golf and nature.  Each 9 starts at the bottom Pine Mountain, and winds up the side of the mountain.  Holes 9, 17, and 18 have dramatic drops in elevation.  This course is truly breathtaking.

Value: The best way to play his course is to include it in a “stay and play” package.  It can be combined with Greywalls and/or Sweetgrass..

Overall Experience:  We had an excellent experience at this course.  It's nature and beauty are hard to match.
